Knee Pain – Try Curcumall®
Pain is one of the key symptoms that drive individuals to seek medical attention and contributes to functional limitations and reduced quality of life. Therefore, people with knee osteoarthritis will try just about anything that seems reasonably safe if it might provide relief. A few weeks ago, we were approached by a 58 year person who lives in Australia and was suffering from severe knee pain. The guy was very active in sports and the knee pain limited his physical activities. We suggested trying Curcumall®, three teaspoons daily mixed in water and taken on an empty stomach (two teaspoons in the morning and one teaspoon in the evening). Three weeks passed and yesterday we got a message from Australia – the knee pain disappeared and he plans to return gradually to his routine physical activity.
This did not come as a surprise to us, as thirteen years ago we were approached by a 65 year old woman who suffered knee pain to the extent that she could not climb stairs. After taking Curcumall® for three weeks she admitted that the knee pain has gone and she can walk freely and climb stairs without any problem.
In April 2019 a new study confirmed that curcumin works better than non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for knee osteoarthritis (OA). The conclusion of the study was that the efficacy and safety of the curcumin was much better than NSAIDs in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Moreover, according to the study, the curcumin anti-inflammatory treatment had two additional benefits:
(1) The Curcumin did not cause any side effects, like stomach troubles. Whereas, the group that was treated with NSAIDs reported stomach problems.
(2) Those taking curcumin lost, on average, nearly 2% of their body weight in just four weeks. As knee OA is highly prevalent among obese patients, a loss of weight can also assist in the healing process of knee osteoarthritis.
Curcumin was shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and has been advocated for cardiovascular health, arthritis, and a host of other conditions. Earlier research on the treatment of knee OA has already shown that the efficacy of curcumin is similar to that of ibuprofen without the side effects of the later.
Why Curcumall?
Many turmeric/curcumin products that are available on the market of nutraceuticals have poor bioavailability that hamper their therapeutic efficacy. The liquid concentrated form of Curcumall® has been shown to have high bioavailability and is better absorbed from most curcumin products. Curcumall® was shown to be a very efficient anti-inflammatory product.
Recommended treatment for knee arthritis for 3-4 weeks:
In the morning: 2 teaspoons of Curcumall® mixed in a glass of water, taken on an empty stomach. In the afternoon/evening: 1 teaspoon of Curcumall® mixed in a glass of water, taken on an empty stomach.
After 3-4 weeks, as pain disappears, one may reduce the Curcumall® intake to 2 teaspoons daily for additional 3 weeks. After that it is recommended to intake one Curcumall® teaspoon for anti-inflammatory maintenance.
