Sore Throat – Gargle with Curcumall
When your throat gets the tickle of soreness due to viral infection we recommend gargling with Curcumall: Mix 2-3 teaspoons of Curcumall with the hottest water you can stand. Gargle 3 times and after gargling avoid drinking or eating for at least 30-40 minutes. You can repeat gargling 3-4 times daily and especially before retiring to bed. The Curcumall liquids heal the inflamed tissues and encourage the blood flow. This remedy helps in lessening the discomfort of sore throat
Many sore throats, especially those that are mild or come with sinus congestion, require only a little time and some rest to heal. The more severe strep throat is usually accompanied by a fever along with large, swollen and tender neck lymph nodes, and should be promptly tested – and if positive, treated.
You can also boost your immune system with Propolis, a bee byproduct, has antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties (avoid if you are allergic to bees).
Also herbs such as echinacea and goldenseal will help keeping your immune system running well. As soon as you feel a problem coming on or have been around someone with an illness, begin taking these herbs and vitamin C-500 twice daily. Use the herbs until the soreness resolves.
Drink plenty of hot liquids. A good quality herbal or green tea sipped throughout the day can soothe a sore throat, as can hot water with lemon and chicken soup, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Feel free to add some freshly chopped garlic as well for an added antiviral “kick.”
Soothe your throat with natural lozenges. Slippery elm lozenges can soothe the pain and (sometimes) inflammation of a sore throat.
